The most exciting update from the event was that God used Assurance to save 155 lives from abortion last year and already another 100 this year.  This brings our total lives saved count since our founding to 4,396! And we were thrilled to share that 43 of our clients have come to faith in Jesus as their Lord and Savior in the last five years.  Some in attendance have now seen 33 years of the miraculous results God brings from our service, including Glenn and Teresa Norvell who were honored with the Wayne B. Smith Power of One Award.

We were blessed to hear from our guest speaker, Julie Ziglar Norman, about what it was like to grow up as the daughter of motivational icon Zig Ziglar, but also through her incredibly authentic account of her life as both a victim and villain in this broken world.  All the positivity in the world, waking up to an “opportunity clock” rather than an alarm clock, looking forward to the “strong end” rather than the weekend, did not spare her from abuse, alcoholism, sexual sin, and two abortions.  And yet, Julie stood before us proclaiming the transformative work God has done in her life, and how He used the post-abortive ministry at her local pregnancy center to point her to the truth about God and what that means for sinners.  She experienced forgiveness, healing, and freedom in deep and life-changing ways.
