Options Information

For many of our clients we are a safe place to take a deep breath, process their reaction to the pregnancy, get the truth about their options, and experience love, grace and mercy. Physical, emotional and spiritual concerns related to unplanned pregnancies are discussed with care and compassion by our specially trained staff and volunteer client advocates. Information is given on abortion, parenting and adoption. Our goal is to equip, educate and empower our clients to make decisions that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.  In addition to providing support to the woman facing the unplanned pregnancy, whenever possible, our male staff and volunteers also meet one-on-one with the men involved.

Medical Services

Assurance provides on-site medical-grade pregnancy tests, limited obstetric ultrasounds, testing and treatment of some sexually transmitted infections/diseases and referrals to reliable medical providers for continuing care. Services are provided by trained medical personnel to ensure the highest-level of care. We are blessed with volunteer Co-Medical Directors, who are respected OBGYN physicians, in oversight of the medical component of our ministry. We have four registered nurses on staff.  We also receive terrific medical support from several area doctors and hospitals.  Assurance also provides ultrasounds at sister pregnancy centers in the region who are not able to offer medical services themselves.

REACH (Resources, Empowerment, Achievement, Community & Hope)

Our pregnancy clients who decide to parent sometimes need a support network that will help them through the first steps of parenting. REACH was developed with these families in mind. REACH serves to empower them through mentoring, Bible studies, parenting education, and other programs through which they can earn material things they need like diapers, and clothes. By participating in the program, REACH clients earn “Baby Bucks,” which are used to purchase new and gently used baby items from our REACH Boutique.

Items for the REACH Boutique are donated to Assurance by caring individuals who want to see these moms and dads achieve success as parents and in life.  Here is a list of current items needed for the boutique.

ReKnew Post-Abortion Healing

ReKnew is our post-abortion healing ministry for those whose life has been affected by abortion. This is done through one-on-one post-abortion counseling and confidential group recovery classes.  Women and men who have experienced abortion often experience emotional and spiritual issues including unresolved grief, sadness, anger, guilt and shame.  Many keep their abortion a secret, sometimes for many years.  Our ReKnew program walks with post-abortive women and men through a journey of healing and forgiveness.

Community Referrals

Client needs are as varied as fingerprints. Our staff is experienced at assessing and referring to other community service providers when needed. We assist our clients in finding medical services, recovery programs, housing assistance, mentoring programs, student assistance, financial counseling and assistance, spiritual mentors and churches that fit their needs. Referrals are carefully placed only where we are certain our clients will be served with care and respect. Because we believe abortion is destructive to all involved, Assurance never refers to abortion providers.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ

More than anything else, what we offer our clients is Jesus Christ.  We approach our clients with Christ-like grace, mercy, compassion, truth and love and trust that in doing so they will experience a taste of His gospel.  We also, whenever possible, explicitly share the good news of His gospel with them in our conversations.  We give Bibles to any who will receive them and don’t already have one.  We pray with almost every client.  We operate in confidence and faith in the equipping power of the Holy Spirit in our staff/volunteers and His work in the hearts and minds of our clients.
