Love Walk is a fun way to bring our community together to support families – moms and dads facing unplanned pregnancies and their unborn children. When you put love into action and walk for life, you honor the unique and sacred value of every human being.
Your participation in the Love Walk makes a real, life-saving and changing difference in the lives of our clients. In 2015, 142 babies were saved from abortion and their parents were spared the very real trauma of abortion. 11 of our clients received Jesus Christ as their Savior. Healing, forgiveness and freedom in Christ flowed from 52 visits with post-abortive women. Overall grace, mercy, truth and love were offered through 1,165 visits with clients in 2015.
Thank you to those who participated in the Love Walk last year for helping make these results possible. For our new walkers, know that God will use the funds you raise for amazing things in the life of our clients this year. We can’t wait to report back to you next year!
How can I get sponsors/pledges?
Just ask! Have a look at the above table for suggestions. “Will you sponsor me?” You will be amazed at the amount of support you will get from those you know. Use the inside of this pledge form to record your sponsors.
Do I have to collect the money?
No. Just turn in your Pledge Form and Assurance will mail a reminder to your sponsors after the Love Walk. If sponsors choose to pre-pay, please mark “Paid Cash” or “Paid Check” below their name and turn in the cash and/or check with your Pledge Form. Checks should be made payable to Assurance for Life.
Is there a per-mile pledge?
No, there is no per-mile pledge. Each donation or pledge represents your involvement with Assurance, and not the distance you walk. There is no minimum or maximum amount to raise, however, when you reach $100 in pledges you receive a free Love Walk T-Shirt. All donations are tax-deductible.
Who can participate?
Everyone! There will be fun and activities for the whole family! Face painting, inflatables, a DJ and more!
What if it is snowing, raining, or cold?
Thanks to Anchor Baptist Church, our walk is INDOORS on their indoor walking track. Rain or shine, we will still have a great time!
